The website of the Munich Nonlinear Dynamics research group is now live!
Nonlinear dynamics is a broad field extending from basic theory to concrete applications and highly valuing the interaction and feedback between different disciplines.
The key challenge is that nonlinearity can create extremely complicated behavior. A main paradigm of the field is to identify typical (or universal) phenomena that appear in a wide variety of systems. This well-proven approach makes the area useful across scientific contexts for classical as well as any emerging field. The methods employed range across the entire scale of scientific techniques from mathematical pen-and-paper approaches to large-scale computer simulations and interplay with data analysis.
